Final Proposal Letter

Lee’s Marketplace
555 East 1400 North
Logan, UT 84341

Dear Jared McDonald:

The Utah State University Sexual Assault and Anti-Violent Information (SAAVI) organization, proposes an opportunity to create a relationship with Lee’s Marketplace in assisting SAAVI to meet the needs and goals of troubled victims. We would like to hold a new event in the Logan Lee’s Marketplace in order to raise awareness and funds.

Your sponsorship will help students in need and bring recognition to Lee’s Marketplace as well as to the SAAVI program. The purpose of the USU SAAVI Office is to help create violence-free environments and healthy relationships at USU, and with your help we can better meet these goals.

We come to you for support because many students at USU shop at Lee’s and have a trust in your services. We would like to get USU students involved along with other community members. Your partnership will build and maintain relationships with the community and the SAAVI program.

While USU students are currently involved in the SAAVI program, we want to engage the rest of the community. One in four women are affected by sexual assault. By sponsoring this event not only will it help SAAVI achieve its goal, it will assist Lee’s Marketplace in maintaining community involvement. We feel your slogan, "You've Got a Friend at Lee's" meets the standard for our mission.

SAAVI has a history of uniting communities through a shared goal of preventing sexual violence and promoting healthy relationships. Through the assistance of the project director, Rachel Brighton, SAAVI and Lee’s Marketplace can successfully raise the funds needed to fully obtain its goals.

We would like to hold the new “Shop a Mile” event at Lee’s Marketplace. During the last week of January 50 percent of purchases made by any customer shopping in high heels will be donated to the SAAVI program.

We appreciate the support Lee’s Marketplace has given to the community and we look forward to an ongoing partnership.

Sincerely,

Amy Jensen
