Dear Melissa:

How are you and your family doing? I hope that all is going well. Thank you for vocalizing your interest in the public relations field. The following information will answer any questions or curiosities you may have about the opportunities this field presents.

Public relations is the “activity which evaluates public attitudes, identifies the organization’s policies and procedures with the public interest, identifies constituencies or audiences to be reached by the organization’s communications, and establishes channels of communication with these groups of people.”

A public relations professional is used as the mouthpiece between a company or organization and the public. The actual job description will vary with where you choose to work but the main idea is the same, public relations professionals are to communicate and represent things in the best way possible.

The opportunities are endless within the public relations field. This is a growing field and there is a big demand for professionals.

Please contact me if you have any other questions, I am more than happy to help. I am passionate about this field and would love to help you decide if it is the right thing for you.

Sincerely,
Amy Jensen
